Harry meets once a month at the North Branch of the Stark County District Library. The North Branch is the library at 189 - 25th Street NW, just east of Malone College, in Canton, Ohio, USA.

MEETINGS ARE HELD AT 6:30 PM ON THE THIRD MONDAY OF THE MONTH, AND LAST ABOUT 90 MINUTES. PLEASE VISIT US!

Harry has always been sponsored by the Stark County District Library. At each meeting, the members discuss a book, movie, TV episode, or short story that was chosen at a previous meeting. Sometimes an author visits, or we have some other special presentation. (See the schedule of coming events below.) Members who have attended conventions since the last meeting give informal con reports. Party plans are made. Usually by the end of the meeting, we've built up a good head of steam & go out for ice cream.

Harry was founded January, 1977. We hear that's a pretty long time for a science fiction club to be around. Read The Compleat History Of Harry pages to find out what you've been missing.
Harry has a great core group of active members, with an extended family of about 40 souls. We have no dues, no officers or politics, and no requirements for membership other than attendance.

• JANUARY 2012 MEETING - AT THE NORTH CANTON PUBLIC LIBRARY (not the usual monthly location). Electronic Media & the Movies.
• PARTY! January 22nd. 11:00 AM Brunch. Harry's 35th Anniversary. The Pizzaria will host this anniversary bash.
• FEBRUARY 2012 MEETING - The Eye of the World, and the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan was discussed.
• PARTY! Winter Blast???
• MARCH 2012 MEETING - Snow Crash, a novel by Neal Stephenson will be the topic.
• APRIL 6-8, 2012 - Marcon.
• APRIL 2012 MEETING - Player of Games, is a novel by Iain M. Banks. It is the introductory novel to The Culture Series. Harry will chat about it.
• PARTY! Rites of Spring??? Maybe a Mission to Mike's Place?
• MAY 2012 MEETING - Leviathan Wakes (The Expanse), a novel by James S. A. Corey, is Harry's topic of discussion.
• The Nebula Awards Banquet is held in May.
• JUNE 2012 MEETING - It's Classics Revisited at Harry. The classic work, Little Fuzzy by H. Beam Piper, is revisted in Fuzzy Nation by John Scalzi. Little Fuzzy will be available for free at Project Gutenberg, or found in various reprints over the years.
• JULY 2012 MEETING - Harry reads "Ponies," by Kij Johnson, the winner of the Nebula Award for Best Short Story, as announced at May 2011's Nebula Banquet. Try this link for an online copy: www.kijjohnson.com

• AUGUST 2012 MEETING - TBD .
• WorldCon: Chicago, IL, USA. Chicon 7 will choose the works that Harry will read for the December 2012 and February 2013 meetings.

• SEPTEMBER 2012 MEETING - Summer Movie and TV Season. Also, planning the 2013 Harry Season.
• OCTOBER 2012 MEETING - A scary topic of discussion. Local writer T.J. McFadden has, among his novels and other works, a series of stories about zombies. "Apocalypse and Andy," by T.J. McFadden will be discussed at the meeting.
• PARTY! Harry Halloween.
• NOVEMBER 2012 MEETING - TBD, a novel.
• DECEMBER 2012 MEETING - "TBD," is the Hugo winning short story announced at Chicon 7 in August. That makes it our topic for the December meeting.
• PARTY! Harry Holidays.
